Meat Hooks

Meat Hooks are tradtionally used for hanging meat to allow it to mature over a period of time to release the full flavour of the meat before cooking.

Aging meat in this way is a practice which has been carried out for many years and one which is continued today. You can often find meat hanging from meat hooks in butchers and kitchen stores, while these hooks can also be used for hanging meat in large freezers for more long term storage.
